The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) will be webcasting a conversation on the Common Core State Standards and English Language Learners on November 13, 2012, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST.
The meeting will be webcast live and will feature presentations by the two consortia developing assessments for the Common Core State Standards—Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). Additionally, there will be presentations by our Understanding Language, the Council of Chief State School Officers and Colorín Colorado.
